- We are working on it... stay tuned.
A great time was had by all at the last Fish Fry movie night! Thank you for attending. Remember we have Fish Fry dinners thru September.
Congratulations to our new President, Tom Morris (on left in below picture), who was elected at the first meeting of the new Board of Directors after our Annual Meeting on Aug. 25th, and thanks again to Mary & Terri for another fantastic season at the club!
Bunco is back, baby! Thanks to all who came out for our record crowd at Bunco tonight. For those who don't know how to play, don't let that stop you from attending in the future. It's as easy as rolling dice! Thank you to Katie Rauh for organizing this great event.
Congratulations to team D-3 for a 13th place finish at the C Nationals regatta. Skipper Mark Hetzler, crew Kurt Honeyager and third Janelle Simons, won the 2nd race sailed for the event.
That is not all, however, the D-3 E boat crew of Mark Hetzler, Peter Keck, Kurt Honeyager and Tim Compall also finished 3rd in the Wawasee E Scow Open regatta in Indiana the week before C Nationals. They actually won two of the races at that regatta and had finishes of 4th, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 8th and 4th. Nice fist pump, Tim! Well deserved. That means they have won 3 of their last 11 regatta races. Keep up the great work!
The raft is in and raring to go! Thank you to those who helped put the raft in this Sunday.
Thank you to all the playground and raft helpers!
Thank you to Greg Gifford, Mike Logterman, Tom Stritt and Josh Funderburg for helping install the new club deck lights. They look great! A big THANK YOU to Al Houk the club carpenter as well for all the help in getting this project done.

Yes, while we took the holiday off, several volunteers installed the raft... and like magic the kids showed-up. The saying "if you build it, they will come" appears to be true. Thank you to Jarid Funderburg for pre and post setup work and for Josh & Jason Funderburg and Mike Logterman for getting the job done. More photos here: 2018 Raft Install. We hope you were able to attend a Memorial Day parade to honor all those who gave their all for our country. God bless!

DLYC Skipper chronicles E Scow sailing
It's not everyday that a DLYC member is published in a national magazine promoting sailing,
but our Rear Commodore, Rachel Beers, has accomplished this noteworthy achievement.
In the current issue of Sailing World (September/October 2017), Rachel chronicles her E scow experience as a skipper at 17 years old. Here is the link: Sailing World - My Class My Story Rachel Beers
We’re very proud of Rachel’s promoting women in sailing and nationally promoting Delavan Lake Yacht Club’s leadership featured in this article.
Thanks Rachel for your initiative and sharing your experiences in an outstanding article!
